Verge.Capital awarded with European Commission’s Seal of Excellence

Dublin, Ireland, 1 April 2019

The European Commission has recently awarded Verge.Capital with the Seal of Excellence for the value of its offering. European Commission with the Seal of Excellence recognizes the excellent standards of Verge.Capital’s strategy and business plan, as part of the Horizon 2020 programme and recommends our offering for review by funding bodies. “For us at Verge.Capital, it is an honour to have our efforts recognized. The recognition is more fulfilling given that it comes by an international panel of independent experts in a highly competitive evaluation process in terms of excellence, impact, quality and efficiency of implementation” commented Verge.Capital’s Chief Risk Officer, Ioanna Stanegloudi. “We are very proud that our project stood up among thousands of other proposals and this award reinforced our commitment to introduce a more fair way for assessing creditworthiness and affordability, one that will allow mobility, transparency and fair access to credit for all European citizens. ”This recognition allows Verge.Capital to join, amongst others, the community of similarly minded startups and SMEs as member of the Access4SME which facilitates future funding opportunities. Verge.Capital’s research and development is already recognized by a number of distinct partners like Microsoft, M12, NYU Stern, National Bank of Greece and European Commission through a number of awards, grants and other competitive processes.
